I had always imagined living in the country, having children and making jam. When we moved to the country on the Nottinghamshire/Lincolnshire border my dream became a reality. Lots of hard work has been put into developing and cultivating the land, building the vegetable garden, planting fruit trees and creating areas for our rare breed pigs and hens.

Sara
Mummy of the house
After moving to the country I relished a new opportunity to keep pigs and grow food with, and for my family. Principally I look after our pigs and hens and sow, weed and grow our vegetables, herbs and fruit. I also sell our delicious pork through various sources. If you would like more details please see our produce page.

gary
Self confessed pig whisperer
Gary is the brains behind our delicious sausage recipes. He has his own day job but at weekends he also helps out with the pigs, (I should confess he actually does the hard part; tagging them!). He also helps with grounds maintenance but Jackson adopted the tractor with Daddy.

Jackson
Aged 6 ½
He loved to sit on the tractor and cut the grass. He was a brilliant help too; planting and weeding, letting the hens out, checking for eggs and giving them corn. He also liked to give carrots to the pigs and refill their water.

Autumn
Aged 5
She also helps out with the hens and has got quite brave with the pigs too. Autumn planted her own beans last year and watched for when the strawberries and tomatoes turned red.
